About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at LEXO-1000 INC. As an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Health and Safety Plans
    • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate hazards
    • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Investigate Workplace Accidents and Incidents
    • Conduct thorough investigations into workplace accidents and incidents
    • Identify root causes and develop recommendations for prevention
  • Provide Training and Education
    • Develop and deliver training programs on health and safety topics
    • Provide guidance and support to employees on health and safety procedures
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders
    • Work with management and employees to identify and address health and safety concerns
    • Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies and contractors
Requirements
  • Education
    • Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
  • Experience
    • 5 years or more of experience in occupational health and safety
  • Certifications
    • National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) program
    • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
    • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
