Key Responsibilities
  • Consulting Role:
    • Develop and implement best practices in health, safety, and wellness to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
    • Foster a culture of safety and wellness by promoting occupational health and safety initiatives.
    • Collaborate with employers and workers to ensure compliance with federal OHS regulations.
    • Participate in local health and safety committees to drive positive change.
    • Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Prevention Activities:
    • Coordinate industrial hygiene, hazard analysis, and ergonomic projects to identify and mitigate risks.
    • Develop, implement, evaluate, and revise health and safety programs, policies, and procedures.
    • Organize local committees and facilitate meetings to drive collaboration and results.
  • Training:
    • Develop or revise OHS training content to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge.
    • Conduct training sessions to educate employees on health and safety best practices.
  • Data Management and Analysis:
    • Analyze and track accident trends to identify areas for improvement.
    • Participate in accident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
    • Contribute to the development of an annual prevention action plan to drive positive change.
Requirements
  • University degree in health and safety, human resources, industrial relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Valid driver's license for work-related travel.
