Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Operations to lead the planning, development, and execution of our new liquefied hydrogen plant. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the hydrogen industry, with a proven track record in managing the development, financing, and construction of large-scale industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall planning and execution of the liquefied hydrogen plant with a daily capacity of 14 metric tons.
  • Oversee the project from concept through completion, including site selection, design, permitting, construction, and commissioning.
  • Manage all aspects of project development, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Identify and secure off-takers for the project, ensuring long-term contracts and partnerships.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with financial institutions and investors to secure project financing.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build and lead a high-performing operations team to manage the plant post-construction.
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, regulatory agencies, and community partners.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize plant performance and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the hydrogen industry or related fields, with significant experience in liquefied hydrogen or similar projects.
  • Proven experience in the project management of large-scale industrial facilities, including development, financing, and construction.
  • Strong knowledge of hydrogen production processes, liquefaction technologies, and related infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from board members to frontline employees.
  • Commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and sustainable practices.
