Industrial Manufacturing Lead

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Manufacturing Lead to join our team at Ontario Tech University. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about manufacturing, fabrication, and project management.
About the Role:
The Industrial Manufacturing Lead will be responsible for leading and managing various projects related to manufacturing, fabrication, and research and development. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in machining, welding, fabrication, and CNC processes, as well as computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM).
Key Responsibilities:
- Machining expertise with a strong focus on precision and quality
- Welding and fabrication skills, including metalworking and mechanical assembly
- Experience with CNC machines, including programming and operation
- Proficiency in CAD and CAM software, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Budget management and procurement skills, with experience in ordering materials and equipment
- Time management and project planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Business acumen, with knowledge of industry trends and best practices
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in advanced development and prototyping, preferably in a similar role
- Extensive experience in machining, welding, and fabrication, including CNC processes
- Proven project management skills, with experience in leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Strong budget management and procurement skills, with experience in ordering materials and equipment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams
What We Offer:
We offer a competitive salary range of $75,256 - $93,190 per year, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a generous retirement plan.
