Patient Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Associate to join our team at Ephraim Stat Care. As a Patient Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Job Summary:The Patient Care Associate will work under the supervision of our healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care and support. This includes accompanying patients on outdoor recreational activities, assisting with cleaning and maintenance of medical equipment, and performing other duties related to patient care and comfort.
Responsibilities:- Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities
- Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up and assembling of medical equipment
- Assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment
- Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
- Perform other duties related to personal care
- Weigh, lift, turn and position patients
- Deliver messages, reports, requisitions and specimens between departments
- Transport patients between care facilities
- Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher
- Administer first aid in emergency situations
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience an asset
- Criminal record check
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR Certificate
This is a temporary position working in an urban area. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and perform repetitive tasks. The position requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to stand for extended periods.
