We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our team at A&M Lawyers Professional Corporation. As a Law Clerk, you will play a crucial role in supporting our lawyers and staff in the preparation and management of legal documents, court filings, and other administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:- Co-ordinate administrative services, including maintaining filing systems and preparing documents for lawyers and clients.
- Draft contracts, prepare promissory notes, and draw up wills, mortgages, and other legal documents.
- Perform clerical duties, such as data entry, photocopying, and scanning documents.
- Prepare wills, real estate transactions, and other legal documents, court reports, and affidavits.
- Research records, court files, and other legal documents to assist lawyers with their cases.
- Collect and record administrative and service fees.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
- Work setting: Legal firm.
- Work language: English.
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
