Job Title: Law Clerk

Bukhari Law Professional Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our team.

Job Summary

The Law Clerk will provide administrative support to our lawyers and judges, assisting with various tasks related to legal proceedings, document preparation, and court administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Legal Research and Document Preparation: Assist lawyers with legal research, draft contracts, and prepare legal documents, such as wills, mortgages, and other court-related documents.
  • Court Administration: Maintain court records, administer oaths, and witness the validity of signatures on documents.
  • Client Communication: Interview clients, witnesses, and other related parties, and explain their rights and obligations.
  • Document Management: Assemble documentary evidence, prepare trial briefs, and maintain filing systems.
  • Court Proceedings: Represent clients in small claims court, tribunals, and administrative bodies, and perform clerical duties as required.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a related field.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
