We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead our Ontario manufacturing site. This role oversees all aspects of plant operations, including production, finance, and personnel management.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a leadership position. They will be responsible for implementing and coordinating training and safety objectives, establishing and meeting production and financial goals, and scheduling plant personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve plant efficiency and productivity.
- Oversee the development of financial plans that achieve company and plant goals.
- Manage plant purchasing, equipment maintenance, and repairs.
- Direct and indirect supervision of all plant personnel and staff.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, applicants must have an Associate Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school. A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is preferred. Relevant experience in manufacturing, steel-industry, or other similar environments is essential.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience in contract administration and safety/environmental compliance.
- Proven track record of improving safety performance and goals.
