Environmental Data Analyst

As a key member of the Dream team, you will play a critical role in shaping our sustainability strategy and driving environmental excellence.
Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in data analysis and sustainability to drive impactful business decisions. As Senior Sustainability Data Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering, managing, and interpreting large datasets to inform our sustainability reporting and compliance efforts.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data collection, processing, and reporting. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will be essential in developing actionable insights from complex data sets. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve data collection and management processes, including the development of dashboards using Power BI.
Your research and analytical skills will also enable you to provide business modeling for sustainability initiatives, including low-carbon transition, innovative energy solutions, and renewable energy projects. This will involve working closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions.
Furthermore, you will be required to submit data to relevant authorities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and directives in Canada and Europe. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including third-party ESG rating agencies.
Key Responsibilities:- Gather, manage, and analyze large datasets to inform sustainability reporting and compliance efforts.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data collection, processing, and reporting.
- Develop actionable insights from complex data sets and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Provide business modeling for sustainability initiatives, including low-carbon transition, innovative energy solutions, and renewable energy projects.
- Submit data to relevant authorities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and directives.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Environmental, Sustainability, ESG, or Impact sectors.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management, including Power BI.
- Somewhat programming, SQL, or database management experience is an asset.
- Commercial real estate/property management industry experience is preferred.
- Basic understanding of emissions reporting (GHG/greenhouse gas protocol), GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related financial disclosures), and SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board) is an asset.
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups across multiple locations.
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities to meet deadlines.
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000-$180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
