Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm and Security Technician to join our team. As a Fire Alarm and Security Technician, you will be responsible for testing, inspecting, verifying, and servicing fire alarm systems and devices. You will also inspect installation sites, study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Test and inspect fire alarm systems and devices to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Inspect installation sites to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
  • Demonstrate systems for customers and explain details, such as the causes and consequences of false alarms.
  • Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications.
  • Look for all levels of experience in fire alarm and security installation, service, and inspection.
  • Follow local and national security standards.
Requirements
  • CFAA License
  • Prior experience with fire alarm systems, monitoring systems, emergency lighting systems, and security systems preferred.
  • Siemens and/or Mircom ESD experience preferred.
  • Ability and desire to learn all facets of the Fire Alarm and Security Technician role.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Customer-oriented mentality.
  • Ability to work within the territory and surrounding areas.

Physical Requirements
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
