Fire Safety and Protection LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Systems Technician to join our team. As a Fire Alarm Systems Technician, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and repairing fire alarm systems to ensure the safety of our customers and their properties.
Responsibilities:- Install and test fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly
- Inspect fire alarm systems to identify any potential issues or defects
- Repair and maintain fire alarm systems to ensure they are in good working condition
- Assist with the installation of various system types, including fire alarm systems
- Perform inspections of fire extinguishers and extinguishing systems
- Perform inspections and repairs of emergency lighting systems
- Address customer service inquiries and concerns in a professional manner
- Adhere to Health and Safety policies
- Assist with building maintenance
- Assist other service technicians and sales staff as required
- Assist with shop work as required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No previous experience required, on-the-job training provided
- High school or post-secondary course in electronics or fire safety is considered an asset
- Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements
- Ability to travel overnight as required
- Ability to differentiate color coding of cables
