Fire Alarm Systems Technician Job Description

Fire Safety and Protection LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Systems Technician to join our team. As a Fire Alarm Systems Technician, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and repairing fire alarm systems to ensure the safety of our customers and their properties.

Responsibilities:
  • Install and test fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Inspect fire alarm systems to identify any potential issues or defects
  • Repair and maintain fire alarm systems to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Assist with the installation of various system types, including fire alarm systems
  • Perform inspections of fire extinguishers and extinguishing systems
  • Perform inspections and repairs of emergency lighting systems
  • Address customer service inquiries and concerns in a professional manner
  • Adhere to Health and Safety policies
  • Assist with building maintenance
  • Assist other service technicians and sales staff as required
  • Assist with shop work as required
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • No previous experience required, on-the-job training provided
  • High school or post-secondary course in electronics or fire safety is considered an asset
  • Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements
  • Ability to travel overnight as required
  • Ability to differentiate color coding of cables
