Salary
The Medical Physicist in Radiation Oncology will receive a salary range of $73.20 - $105.21 per hour (Hiring Range). Pay offers are determined by experience and internal equity.

Job Description
This role involves collaborating with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and radiation therapists to design, implement, and monitor treatment plans. The Medical Physicist will also be involved in the development and maintenance of quality assurance programs and the calibration of radiation therapy equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with the oncology team to design and optimize radiation treatment plans.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance protocols for radiation therapy equipment.
  • Patient Safety: Ensure the accurate delivery of radiation doses to patients.

Required Skills and Qualifications

A Master's degree in Medical Physics, Physics or related field is required. Board eligibility by the American Board of Radiology is also required. Two to three years of clinical experience preferred. Experience with advanced radiation therapy techniques (e.g., IMRT, VMAT, SRS, SBRT) is also desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in treatment planning software and dosimetry equipment are essential. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team is a must.
