As a radiation therapist with our organization, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of patients, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the advancement of cancer care in our province.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing patients for radiation treatments, operating equipment, and ensuring accurate dosages. You will also have the opportunity to participate in educational activities, such as teaching and precepting, to support the development of future radiation therapists.

Your Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A degree from an accredited radiation therapy program in Canada or a non-Canadian program recognized by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists
• A valid license and registration with the Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in computer software programs used in radiation therapy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Proficiency in French an asset

Compensation and Benefits

$45.88 - $53.49 Hourly
Eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan
