About the Role:

The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the restaurant, ensuring it operates to high operational and financial standards. This includes managing the day-to-day activities of associates, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Restaurant Operations: Manage the opening and closing of the restaurant, ensuring all necessary tasks are completed and associates are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Staffing and Deployment: Deploy staff and resources to maximize profitability, assign work tasks and activities, and ensure all shifts are covered.
  • Customer Service: Ensure excellent customer service, resolve customer complaints, and maintain a positive reputation for the restaurant.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and manage the restaurant's financial performance, including sales, labor costs, and inventory.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Implement marketing programs to increase revenue and drive sales, including social media and local advertising.
  • Employee Management: Recruit, train, and develop associates to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, including adhering to all health and safety regulations and protocols.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience in the food service industry, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, with a degree in hospitality or a related field preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire associates. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
