About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Software Trainer to join our team at PBS Systems. As a key member of our training department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional support and training to our customers on our Dealer Management Software (DMS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of our PBS software and its various modules, including sales, service, inventory management, and accounting.
  • Provide virtual training, online, and on-the-phone support to new and existing customers, ensuring they are proficient in using our software.
  • Assist customers onsite, when required, with new software install training, providing hands-on guidance and support.
  • Learn and develop an understanding of data entry and other key tasks, ensuring seamless integration with our software.
  • Complete the payroll module with accuracy and efficiency, meeting the needs of our customers.
  • Become an install resource without assistance, demonstrating expertise in our software.
  • Prioritize tasks without direction from Team Leads, ensuring timely completion of responsibilities.
  • Take the initiative to learn new products, increasing knowledge and expertise in our software.
  • Provide exceptional support to our customers, navigating our DMS software to better assist them.
  • Work directly with customers, training all sessions in assigned silos and other silos, as needed.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with customers, identifying their needs and ensuring they are met or exceeded.
  • Respond to internal and external training requests in a timely manner, writing up tickets and investigating issues that arise.
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment, sharing knowledge within the DTO team and maintaining documentation as processes change.
  • Commit to ongoing education and cross-training, ensuring continuous improvement and growth.
  • Monitor the DTO queue, ensuring timely resolution of customer issues.
Requirements
  • Experience in bookkeeping/accounting, with a strong understanding of financial software.
  • 1-2 years' previous experience in the automotive industry, dealership environment, or PBS is an asset.
  • High School Diploma, with a strong foundation in computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills, with effective time management and organizational abilities.
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills, with excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to travel within Canada and the USA up to 2 weeks per month.
