- Develop and implement strategies to promote commitment to the care and preservation of campus facilities and a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to ensure alignment with the college's environmental sustainability goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to facilities support staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Monitor and report on facilities maintenance and custodial services to ensure compliance with college policies and procedures.
- Minimum of five years of recent and related occupational experience in a facilities management department.
- Experience in supervising and coordinating the work of facilities support staff.
- Strong knowledge of facilities management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in environmental sustainability and conservation.
- Knowledge of building automated systems and software.
- Experience in supervising and coordinating the work of facilities support staff in a higher education setting.
