Your Role

As an Intermediate Environmental Scientist, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from biological surveys and habitat assessments to environmental permitting and compliance monitoring. You'll be responsible for designing and leading surveys, collecting and interpreting data, and developing scopes of work and budgets for proposals.

Your Responsibilities
  • Design and lead biological surveys, habitat assessments, environmental compliance monitoring, and permitting
  • Collect, manage, and interpret data, and prepare technical reports
  • Support the development of scopes of work and budgets for proposals
  • Design and implement terrestrial and aquatic habitat mitigation and offsetting measures
  • Contribute to the compilation and writing of regulatory submissions
  • Support project teams during all stages of a project life cycle, including planning and feasibility studies, EIA, and post-EIA permitting and compliance
  • Manage and track communication processes between proponents, environmental teams, and regulatory agencies
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies and Indigenous peoples
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Provide and receive constructive feedback on the work of others and yourself
  • Adhere to health and safety plans and quality processes on all work, projects, and reports
About You

We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in environmental science or a related field. You'll need to have a university degree, 5-7 years of industry experience, and a professional designation or eligibility for one. You'll also need to have knowledge of provincial, territorial, and federal environmental legislation, as well as experience with proposal preparation and leading biological surveys.
