Job Summary

The Nursing Resource Team (NRT) is a dynamic group of nurses who provide clinical support to various departments within Halton Healthcare. As a member of the NRT, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical areas, responding to short-term absences or changes in acuity or volume.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply the nursing process to provide high-quality patient care in various clinical settings.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care based on specific patient needs.
  • Coordinate care to ensure seamless transitions through the continuum of care.
  • Provide patient and family education to promote health and well-being.
  • Administer medications and procedures according to established policies and guidelines.
  • Document observations, assessments, and changes in patient condition.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to achieve positive patient outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current BCLS Certification at time of hire.
  • Recent nursing experience in acute medicine is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Caring attitude towards patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong physical assessment skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
