Job Summary:

As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a dozer or track loader to assist with installation and backfill of various utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a track dozer or track loader in a safe and appropriate manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct routine daily cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation.
  • Regulate the height and angle of a blade or bucket and lower ripper to loosen packed soil for grading.
  • Ensure a sound understanding of ground disturbance requirements and operate equipment in successive passes over the construction surface to raise or lower materials to specified grade.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Class 5 Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract (as per Company policy).
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience operating a dozer.
  • Knowledge of underground industry standards and OH&S requirements.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which may include inclement weather, heat, and humidity, and exposure to dust.
  • Must be physically able to lift and carry at least 20 LBS on an occasional basis.
  • Valid Class 5 Operators License; Clean Drivers Abstract (as per Company Policy), preferred.
