Job Summary:

Volker Stevin Contracting Ltd. is seeking a skilled Dozer Track Loader Operator to join our team in Western Canada. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a dozer or track loader, performing duties as assigned to ensure high-quality work delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a track dozer or track loader in a safe and appropriate manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation.
  • Regulate equipment controls to achieve precise grading and material movement.
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of ground disturbance requirements and regulations.
  • Operate equipment in successive passes to achieve specified grades, following markings or hand signals.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Class 5 Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract (as per Company policy).
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience operating a dozer or track loader.
  • Knowledge of underground industry standards and OH&S requirements.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in an outdoor setting, with potential exposure to inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
  • Must be physically able to lift and carry at least 20 LBS on an occasional basis.
  • Valid Class 5 Operators License; Clean Drivers Abstract (as per Company Policy), preferred.
  • Must comply with the Company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
  • Possible out-of-town and weekend work as required.
