About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at GDI Integrated Facility Services - Goodyear Tire. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our commercial and industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including heating and cooling units, fans, and associated equipment.
  • Inspect and test electrical connections, contactors, and other components to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Lubricate and adjust associated dampers and linkage to ensure smooth operation.
  • Check and clean fan assemblies, including fan blades and motor housings.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot cooling systems, including chillers, cooling towers, and glycol systems.
  • Check compressor oil level, acid test, and hermetic motors to ensure proper operation.
  • Change oil and refrigerant filter dryers as required, and add refrigerant as necessary to locate and repair leaks.
  • Inspect electrical connections, contractors, relays, and operating safety controls to ensure safe operation.
  • Check and operate compressor unloaders, and adjust operating conditions as required.
  • Check all refrigerant pressure capillary and small bore tubing for vibration and rubbing/chafing, and repeat as required.
  • Check all expansion valves for proper superheat, and review manufacturer's recommendations for startup.
  • Schedule and manage contractors completing services and repairs, and work plant shut downs as required.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot heating systems, including boilers, direct fired units, and domestic hot water tanks.
  • Replace belts and filters on all HVACs and exhaust fans, and read and interpret blueprints as required.
Requirements
  • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic 313A skilled trades certificate.
  • G1 Gas Technician License.
  • ODP Ozone Depletion Prevention certificate.
  • Direct fire burner experience is preferred.
  • 5 years industrial experience is preferred.
