Facilities Maintenance Specialist

**About This Role**
Black & McDonald Limited is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Facilities Maintenance team, you will be responsible for conducting routine property and site inspections, performing maintenance tasks, and ensuring the efficient operation of various sites in the Greater Toronto Area.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct routine property and site inspections to identify maintenance needs and perform tasks as required.
- Complete preventive and demand maintenance tasks, including chemical treatment maintenance, filter changes, and equipment repairs.
- Inspect, operate, maintain, and repair boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, pumps, generators, and life safety systems.
- Monitor electrical power distribution systems and respond to alarms in a timely and methodical manner.
- Perform minor repairs, including replacing washers, faucets, and clearing drains.
- Ensure maximum energy efficiency and inspect/operate/maintain and repair mechanical/electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with applicable government codes and regulations.
**Competency Requirements**
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
**Education and Experience Requirements**
- Knowledge and understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Building Environment System certificate or trade license.
- 1-3 years of experience in facilities maintenance and operations.
**Additional Requirements**
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong technical capabilities in building systems and equipment.
- Valid security clearance.
