Commercial Furniture Sales Specialist

Grand & Toy Ltd., a renowned Canadian business partner, is seeking an experienced Commercial Furniture Sales Specialist to join our team. This role involves prospecting, identifying, and developing new furniture business opportunities while maintaining and profitably growing existing accounts.

What You'll Do
In this pivotal role, you will work closely with existing customers, prospect new opportunities, and develop strategies to expand our commercial furniture segment. Your expertise in sales, architectural blueprints, and space planning will be invaluable in driving business growth and fostering long-term relationships with key clients.
Requirements
To excel in this position, you must possess:
- A deep understanding of commercial furniture products and services, acquired through formal education or a minimum of 2-3 years of on-the-job experience (equal to a diploma or degree in business or sales)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in outside sales, focusing on developing new business and growing existing accounts
- Proficiency in reading architectural blueprints/drawings and understanding furniture layout or space planning
- Familiarity with RFP tender processes
- Experience working with Hon, Global, and other major Grand & Toy vendors is highly desirable
- Willingness to participate in industry-specific affiliated programs is a plus
- Occasional travel may be required, including weekend and/or evening work
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools are essential
- Ability to learn and utilize a complex pricing, order, and sales tracking database tool (HFA/Clarity or similar)
