Job Overview
Interior Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Data Management Strategist to join our team in Kelowna, BC. This full-time relief position offers a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in data management and analysis to drive business growth and improvement.

About the Job
In this critical role, you will provide strategic leadership and expertise to link data systems analysts with business operations, ensuring seamless integration of data-driven insights into decision-making processes. Your key responsibilities will include providing business consultation and support to the data management team, conducting formal evaluations of data management activities, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement data quality processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide expertise on business requirements and lead the implementation, monitoring, and upgrading of data management applications to ensure strategic linkages between specialized areas are maintained.
• Contribute to the development of strategies to identify data quality improvement opportunities and needs, finding efficient solutions to optimize data accuracy and reliability.
• Maintain the integrity of information management data by monitoring the effectiveness of, and providing input into the development and implementation of data quality processes and procedures. Lead data system audits to evaluate data quality and effectiveness of data stewardship activities.
• Facilitate decision support by consulting with staff and partners to identify opportunities, coordinating support resources to ensure that information is appropriately used and correctly interpreted to strengthen strategic and operational decision making.
• Evaluate HP information management initiatives to determine if quality and efficiency goals have been achieved, using a systems perspective to plan, lead, and report on project tasks and status.
• Consult with working groups to provide advice regarding overall HP information management direction, identifying opportunities, preventing conflicts, and ensuring results are consistent with the overall direction of HP.
• Collaborate with the IMIT systems support team to identify training needs and develop training resources, providing business expertise during user training and demonstrating procedures to other employees and students.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a health, science, or education related discipline. A minimum of three years' recent experience working in Health Protection or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Current valid BC Driver's License.

Salary Range
The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
