Aecon, a leading Canadian infrastructure development company, is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join their team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical and occupational health services to joint venture personnel working on the Fuel Channel and Feeder Replacement (FCFR) project at the Bruce Nuclear Generating Station in Kincardine, Ontario.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Nurse to provide medical and occupational health services to our team members working on-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing first aid and emergency care to personnel in accordance with clinical nursing guidelines;
  • Evaluating and treating injuries and illnesses;
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to occupational health services;
  • Liaising with internal claims management staff, WSIB and medical personnel regarding any claims/case related issues;
  • Developing and supporting early and safe return to normal duty plans in coordination with the EHS department and supervision;

The ideal candidate will have a minimum qualification as a Registered Practical Nurse in the province of Ontario and knowledge of WSIB legislation and process. Experience in nuclear or construction site environments is considered an asset.

Aecon offers a competitive salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits, including comprehensive health and dental insurance, RRSP matching, and paid time off.
