Job Summary

Rons Backhoe Ltd. is seeking a skilled Dump Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely operating a dump truck to transport goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Safely operate a dump truck to transport goods and materials, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods from the dump truck, ensuring that all materials are properly secured and transported safely.
  • Perform Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and to identify any potential issues.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring that all necessary information is communicated in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Record Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, sitting.
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, reliability, team player.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and efficiency. The work will involve operating a dump truck in a variety of settings, including construction sites and other industrial areas.
