Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at Torque Tech Truck & Trailer Repair Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance service on truck systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure compliance with manufacturer's specifications.
  • Diagnostic and Repair: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and repair or replace parts and components as needed.
  • Truck- Trailer Systems: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Quality Control: Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Documentation: Complete reports to record problems and work performed, and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods, hand-eye co-ordination, and attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, reliability, team player, and punctuality.
Working Conditions
  • Work Site Environment: Dusty and noisy work environment.
  • Area of Specialization: Truck-trailer repair.
