Montreal, Quebec, Canada 2K Games, Inc. Full time

We are seeking a highly skilled Game Development Product Lead to join our 2K Games team in Novato, California. This role offers an estimated annual salary of $143,000-$183,000, depending on experience.

Company Overview

At 2K Games, Inc., we are a global video game company that publishes titles developed by some of the most influential game development studios in the world. Our portfolio includes critically-acclaimed franchises such as NBA 2K, 2K PGA, Battleborn, BioShock, Borderlands, and more.

About the Role

This position is responsible for helping shape content, live service, and monetization plans to marry player value and commercial goals. You will work closely with studios, product leadership, and other product managers to develop, guide, implement, and optimize Live Services strategies supporting our new IPs' creative vision.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Closely collaborate with development and publishing teams to define Live Services product & business strategy for multiple unannounced projects.
  2. Use data, insights (research), and user testing to build a deep understanding of player behaviors, engagement patterns, content preferences, and player trust.
  3. Advise and implement the goals and benchmarks to measure player base health and business performance. Track, analyze, and deliver consolidated updates on live service performance to the studio, publishing, and leadership teams.
  4. Define telemetry needs, KPIs, reporting, and analyses needed to develop insights into player behaviors in partnership with the Analytics team. Analyze data and translate it into insights and strategies that enable us to meet and exceed core franchise targets.
  5. Build messaging, campaign, and upsell strategies in collaboration with Performance Marketing and the development teams to ensure engagement and conversion.
  6. Work alongside Commercial Growth teams to build strategies for pricing, in-game promotions, SKUs, and ongoing content.
  7. Manage and mentor other Product Managers, prioritizing work across multiple projects and setting expectations around outputs.
  8. Market Intelligence – Deliver research and thought leadership on live services industry landscape, trends, competitor products, and recommendations that help us grow and evolve our thinking.
  9. Be the Player Advocate – Understand and advocate for the player's perspective to ensure the development of fair and balanced engagement & monetization models that empower customer choice and value for time.

What We Need

You will be a data-informed decision maker who can balance business priorities, customer perspective, resources, capacity, and partner needs. A strong preference for being proactive vs. reactive is essential. Experience working in games/games economies for Live Services and ongoing-engagement titles is required.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience, including product management, production, live ops, game design, or other related fields. Experience working on AAA or Strategy games with post-launch content and iteration loops.
  • Intimate, strong understanding of ongoing, service-based products and their methodology - including drivers of performance, player needs/sensitivities, and content models.
  • Possess strong critical thinking, strategy, problem-solving, business analysis, and data-informed decision-making capabilities.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Well-played within online and multiplayer games.
  • Proficiency with business intelligence tools and comfortable building models to explore opportunities while working closely with analytics.
