Accountant - Budget and Financial Planning

Kwantlen Polytechnic University is seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of budget and financial planning functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the development and implementation of budget and financial planning functions in accordance with KPU policies and statutory requirements.
- Manage and coordinate special projects in support of KPU's strategic initiatives.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support Faculties/divisions and University-wide analysis.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels.
- Chartered Professional Accountant designation in good standing or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Minimum of two years progressive experience in financial budgeting, program costing, budget/financial modeling, reporting, administration, and assurance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy, confidentiality, and conflict resolution skills.
