Job Title: Food Counter Attendant

We are seeking a skilled Food Counter Attendant to join our team at 9486-8452 Québec Inc. in a temporary position.

Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a clean and safe environment for customers.
  • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas to ensure a smooth customer experience.
  • Package take-out food and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands.
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, taking orders and providing excellent customer service.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food to ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management and cost control.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Requirements:
  • Will train in food preparation and service procedures.
  • Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth, Veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
Work Environment:
  • Temporary position.
  • Language of work: English or French.
  • Hours of work: 30 to 40 hours per week.
