About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Sushi Mong. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that they have a positive experience at Sushi Mong.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for our management team.
  • Food Order Summaries: Prepare food order summaries for our chef, ensuring that they have the information they need to prepare meals efficiently.
  • Work Schedules: Establish work schedules for our staff, ensuring that we have adequate coverage during peak periods.
  • Cashiering Duties: Perform cashiering duties, handling customer transactions and maintaining a secure and accurate cash handling system.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a food service supervisory role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
