Job Title: Trademark Prosecution Legal Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trademark Prosecution Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team at Linds & Associates Ltd.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, amend, and attend to electronic filings and prosecution of Canadian trademark applications and related reports.
  • Monitor deadlines, send reminders, and assist with the preparation and filing of reports to clients and responses to deadlines.
  • Prepare dockets and accounts for approval, ensuring proficiency in all accounting and billing procedures.
  • Prepare routine correspondence, administrative tasks, and maintain client contact information in database.
  • Prioritize incoming work, follow through on assignments, and manage ongoing tasks.
  • Implement and maintain practice management systems on behalf of busy professionals.
  • Open and close files, ensuring seamless workflow.
Qualifications:
  • Must be a graduate of a recognized Legal Assistant or Law Clerk Program.
  • 5+ years' experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant with proficient experience and knowledge in Intellectual Property/Trade Marks.
  • Working knowledge of Inprotech and CIPO's online systems is an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, proofreading abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to excel in a deadline-driven environment and communicate professionally with clients and external contacts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent proficiency with Word 2016, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Aderant, and knowledge of iManage or a similar document management system is an asset.
