Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist II to join our Primary Care team at Northern Health Authority. As an Occupational Therapist II, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Primary Care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with various physical and cognitive disabilities, promoting independence and participation in daily activities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and patient-centered care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support patients and their families.
  • Conduct home visits and provide therapy services in various settings, including physician practices, homes, facilities, and communities.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research evidence, applying this knowledge to inform professional practice decisions and actions.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized Occupational Therapy program.
  • Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement.
