Job Title: Plumbing Apprentice

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Plumbing Apprentice to join our team at Hydro-Flo Plumbing and Heating Ltd. As a Plumbing Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work with a experienced team of plumbers and learn the skills necessary to become a licensed plumber.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our plumbers with various tasks, including reading blueprints, locating and marking pipe connections, and testing pipes for leaks. You will also have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and institutional plumbing systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist plumbers with reading blueprints and determining layout of plumbing systems
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections and passage holes
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size
  • Assist with joining pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
  • Participate in apprenticeship training and level one, two, three, and four training
  • Work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects
Requirements:
  • Plumber Trade Certification
  • Level one, two, three, and four apprenticeship training
  • Basic security clearance
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
