The role of the Maintenance Manager is crucial to our operations. They are responsible for the physical upkeep, safety, and well-being of the building and its residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, be able to provide polished and professional customer service, and effectively work with colleagues from different departments as well as a diverse tenant clientele.

In this role, you will be reachable 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergencies. You will also organize the cleaner's tasks with the building manager every morning, ensure all utilities are functional, and make sure the building is always clean. Additionally, you will send daily reports/checklists to the building manager and director of maintenance.

You will be responsible for:

  • Clearing garbage & recycling bins
  • Ensuring the garbage & recycling room is clean
  • Updating and monitoring the lift system
  • Sending weekly report/checklist to the director of maintenance

You will also be responsible for seasonal tasks such as ensuring all lights are working and making appropriate changes to the timers at the commencement of every new season, changing motor belts at the beginning of every new season, coordinating window cleaning and carpet cleaning, scheduling maintenance appointments, and other duties as required.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Availability to move in to the building
  • Handy and knowledge of general maintenance
  • Good judgement, problem solving skills & attention to details
  • Knowledgeable of building codes and safety standards
  • Knowledge & understanding of HVAC system
  • Experience plastering and painting
  • Plumbing experience
  • MS outlook proficiency
  • Air conditioner repair is an asset
  • Bilingual (French and English)

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year depending on experience. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, On Call.
