Position Overview

Munich Re is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Reinsurance Treaty Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our reinsurance operations, you will play a critical role in drafting and interpreting reinsurance treaties, amendments, and related documents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze reinsurance treaties, amendments, and policy forms to ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, reinsurance operations, and corporate actuarial, to support business analysis and compliance activities.
  • Develop and maintain Munich Re's treaty templates, ensuring consistency and accuracy in both English and French.
  • Work closely with legal advisors to develop contract wording and ensure compliance with home office guidelines.
  • Participate in local and global initiatives involving treaty and related data administration, ensuring ongoing compliance with home office guidelines.
  • Assist with compliance work, including documentation of internal controls, and general business analysis and project management as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, English, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant life (re)insurance experience.
  • Fluency in English and French languages, verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of living benefits products is considered an asset.
  • Reinsurance treaty experience is considered an asset.
  • Technical writing experience preferred.
