We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at Homewood Ravensview, a leading provider of mental health and addiction services in Canada. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct care to patients with complex mental health and addiction issues, working collaboratively with physicians, counsellors, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health and addiction assessments, formulating treatment plans and providing crisis intervention as needed
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, using a motivational and health promotion approach
  • Collaborate with patients and families to identify and address their unique needs and goals
  • Develop and implement evidence-based strategies to improve patient outcomes and participate in creating and evaluating healthcare policies
  • Act as a preceptor for students and mentor junior staff members

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or College Diploma from an accredited Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing program
  • Two years' recent related experience in a mental health and/or substance use setting
  • Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mental disorders, addictions, and concurrent disorders, as well as treatment and recovery principles
  • First Aid/CPR Certification for health care providers (Level 1 or greater)
