We are seeking hospitalists to join our team at the QEII Health Sciences Center in Halifax. The Hospitalist Medicine Service (HMS) covers 118 beds across both the Halifax Infirmary and Victoria General sites, with future expansion expected.



Salary and Benefits


The estimated daily provincial rate for this position is $[calculate salary based on location and industry standards]. We also offer a stipend for night call and a facility-on-call fee.


In addition to competitive compensation, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA), admitting privileges at the QEII site, and opportunities for academic teaching appointments with Dalhousie University.



Job Description


As a hospitalist with our team, you will provide a full range of clinical care services to patients, adhering to the Canadian Society of Hospital Medicine's Core Competencies in Hospital Medicine. This includes embracing the Home First Philosophy of NS Health, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and attending site-based physician meetings.


You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care, while also contributing to research and operational projects within the HMS.


This is a flexible opportunity, with options for part-time or full-time positions, effective immediately.



Requirements and Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you must have active admitting privileges at the QEII site via NSH Credentialing Committee and membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).


Membership in the Society of Hospital Medicine, Canadian Chapter is encouraged, and an academic teaching appointment with Dalhousie University is an asset.
