About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ECE Assistant to join our team at Kindertots Child Care Centre. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development and Education
    • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans to support their growth and development.
    • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
    • Collaborate with early childhood educators to design and implement engaging activities and lessons.
  • Support Services
    • Assist with daily tasks such as housekeeping, cooking, and meal preparation.
    • Provide support with childcare duties, including bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers.
    • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues to ensure seamless care and education.
    • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
    • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children, including maintaining daycare equipment and adhering to licensing regulations.
    • Provide first aid and CPR as needed.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
