About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated ECE Assistant to join our team at Kindertots Child Care Centre. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development and Planning: Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans to support their growth and progress.
  • Supporting Early Childhood Educators: Assist educators in carrying out programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Child Care and Supervision: Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, and supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers.
  • Program Development and Implementation: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Ordering: Maintain daycare equipment and order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Record Keeping and Communication: Assist educators or supervisors in keeping records and communicate with parents about children's progress.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Other trades certificate or diploma, and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
  • Certifications and Licenses: First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
  • Personal Qualities: Punctuality, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and reliability.
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. The ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment is essential.
