About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Global Forwarding Agent to join our team at C.H. Robinson. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing and operating the shipment lifecycle of our global freight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Operational Excellence:
    • Develop a deep understanding of international shipping processes, documentation, and terminology.
    • Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes and create solutions in response to challenges.
    • Coordinate tasks on shipments to meet customer SOP requirements, including booking approvals, processing pre-alerts, governmental filings, and ensuring proper invoicing.
  • Facilitate Relationships:
    • Collaborate with international team members and third-party agents to ensure efficiency, excellent customer service, and creative problem resolution.
    • Build strong relationships with customers, responding timely and following up on issue resolution.
    • Provide reporting and documentation support to internal and external customers.
    • Participate in customer business reviews.
Requirements
  • High school degree or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Global Forwarding experience.
  • Perfectly bilingual in both English and French (verbal and written).

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
