As a Principal Software Test Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products, particularly the Rhythmia HDx Mapping System, a 3D mapping and navigation system for cardiac electrophysiology procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development life cycle and test methodology, with experience in designing and developing test automation frameworks. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, C, or C++ is required, as well as a deep understanding of Linux operating systems. Experience with test automation tools like Squish and Qt is also essential.

We're looking for a talented individual who can work effectively in an Agile Scrum development environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and execute test cases to ensure the quality of the product.
  2. Act as a test lead for projects, determining test methodology, test strategy, and test data setup.
  3. Design and develop innovative test automation tools.
  4. Lead technical strategies for test automation teams.
  5. Execute automated test scripts.
  6. Ensure that tests have been conducted in accordance with written procedures.
  7. Enhance the test automation framework and debug issues discovered in Jenkins builds.
  8. Plan new test cases development for various software releases.
  9. Document test results and write test reports.
  10. Provide technical guidelines, share knowledge, and demonstrate product areas to other team members on an ad hoc basis.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree along with 7+ years of software test engineer or related experience or 5+ years with a master's degree or advanced degree, preferably BS/MS in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent.
  2. In-depth knowledge of software development life cycle and test methodology.
  3. Experience with design and development of test automation frameworks.
  4. Strong programming experience is required such as Python, MATLAB, C or C++.
  5. Deep understanding of Linux operating system.
  6. Experience with test automation tools such as Squish and knowledge of Qt.
  7. Demonstrated experience executing unit tests, performance tests, static analysis, and memory leak analysis.
  8. Experience working in Agile Scrum development environment.
