Principal Software Test Engineer

At Boston Scientific, we're committed to advancing science for life by developing innovative medical solutions that improve patient lives. As a Principal Software Test Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products, particularly in the Electrophysiology domain area.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and execute test cases to ensure system functionality and verify business and user requirements.
- Act as a test lead for projects, determining test methodology, test strategy, and test data setup.
- Develop innovative test automation tools and lead technical strategies for test automation teams.
- Execute automated test scripts, enhance the test automation framework, and debug issues discovered in Jenkins builds.
- Plan new test cases development for various software releases, document test results, and write test reports.
- Provide technical guidelines, share knowledge, and demonstrate product areas to other team members.
- Work closely with the software development team, hardware engineering team, field support team, and other cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree along with 7+ years of software test engineer or related experience or 5+ years with a master's degree or advanced degree, preferably in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of software development life cycle and test methodology.
- Experience with design and development of test automation frameworks.
- Strong programming experience in languages such as Python, MATLAB, C, or C++.
- Deep understanding of Linux operating system.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Squish and knowledge of Qt.
- Demonstrated experience executing unit tests, performance tests, static analysis, and memory leak analysis.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum development environment.
- A strong product quality and test lead experience preferably in medical device domain.
- Experience with ultrasound and other imaging medical devices.
- A good learner who can master complex software and quickly adapt to new tools and technologies.
- Demonstrated experience communicating both technical and non-technical information across teams and departments.
- Follow company policy regarding ISO and FDA documentation and compliance for medical devices.
