Medical Imaging Specialist

The role of a Medical Radiation Technologist II at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre is to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in the specialized environments of CT and Interventional Radiography.

- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams
- Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently
- Contribute to student preceptor programs

As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) II, you will perform advanced radiological imaging procedures for disease diagnosis. This may involve performing diagnostic imaging procedures for physician review, interpreting requisitions, and maintaining imaging equipment.
Required Qualifications:- Diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist program
- Active or eligible registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Venipuncture certification
- Central Venous Access Device Use Authorization Program for Diagnostic Imaging Technologists
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work efficiently under pressure both individually and as part of a team.
A salary of approximately $120,000 per year reflects the importance of this role in providing high-quality patient care at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre.
