Job Title: Human Resources and Payroll Officer

CUA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources and Payroll Officer to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional payroll and benefits support to our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer payroll and benefits for CUA and its subsidiary companies
  • Provide subject matter expertise in payroll and benefits administration
  • Perform a diverse range of duties and responsibilities within the HR function, including recruitment, onboarding, and departures
  • Manage performance and time management, including administration of CUA's HRIS
  • Assist with compensation adjustments, occupational health and safety, and staff lists and reports
  • Maintain HR-related items in Microsoft SharePoint
Requirements:
  • Business Administration or Human Resources Management Certificate required, plus a minimum of three years' experience in payroll and benefits
  • Strong knowledge of payroll administration/legislation and experience processing payroll, preferably in Ceridian
  • Experience working with a Human Resources Information System (HRIS), preferably PurelyHR
  • Superior interpersonal, communication, and project management skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with high-quality documentation and filing systems
  • Certification from the Canadian Payroll Association is considered an asset
