Nordic Area Director Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nordic Area Director to lead our winter operations team at Cypress Mountain. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of exceptional guest experiences in our Nordic skiing and snowshoeing areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Health and Safety: Champion and promote all OHS company policies, programs, and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Professional Development: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, providing opportunities for team members to grow and develop their skills.
  • Customer Service: Lead the team in delivering exceptional guest experiences, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and expand revenue streams, managing operating costs and labor to achieve business objectives.
  • Operations Management: Provide oversight and coordination of operations, ensuring maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other computer systems and applications.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of relevant management experience in the ski industry.
  • Nordic skiing experience an asset.
