Job Title: Administrative Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team at Young Boy Drywall Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our staff and management team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to our staff and management team, including answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining records.
  • Office Procedures: Determine and establish office procedures and routines to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Scheduling: Schedule and confirm appointments, meetings, and events.
  • Communication: Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages, and greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas.
  • Inventory Management: Order office supplies and maintain inventory levels.
  • Accessibility: Provides physical accessibility accommodations, visual accessibility accommodations, and auditory accessibility accommodations to support persons with disabilities.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, and assists with immediate settlement needs, supports social and labour market integration, and recruits newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Support for Youth: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment, offers on-the-job training, and offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities.
  • Support for Veterans: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Veterans, offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities, and provides awareness training to employees.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people, offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities, and provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports mature workers, applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination, and offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities, applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination, and offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.

Requirements:

  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
