About the Role

The Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Assistant to provide senior-level support to the Vice Presidents. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing to the effectiveness of the executive leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Executive Support
    • Coordinate key meetings and events for individual Vice Presidents
    • Liaise with external partners, post-secondary institutions, and government agencies
    • Ensure work from each Vice President's portfolio is translated into Executive Committee discussions
  • Common VP Support
    • Manage the common executive calendar
    • Coordinate weekly Vice President meetings
    • Creates and maintains secure common filing and records systems
  • Centralized Administrative Functions
    • Provide coordination and administration for Senior Leadership Council (SLC)
    • Manage process for tracking staffing decisions
    • Support annual planning and reporting processes
  • Personal Leadership
    • Maintain a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
    • Recommends continuous improvement initiatives
    • Communicates and coordinates with the Manager, President's Office
Requirements
  • Minimum of two-year diploma or Associate Degree in a relevant discipline
  • Five years of recent related experience providing support at a senior executive level
  • Knowledge and experience with professional administrative practices
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency with common software programs
