Executive Assistant

The Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Assistant to provide senior-level support to the Vice Presidents. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing to the effectiveness of the executive leadership team.
Key Responsibilities- Executive Support
- Coordinate key meetings and events for individual Vice Presidents
- Liaise with external partners, post-secondary institutions, and government agencies
- Ensure work from each Vice President's portfolio is translated into Executive Committee discussions
- Common VP Support
- Manage the common executive calendar
- Coordinate weekly Vice President meetings
- Creates and maintains secure common filing and records systems
- Centralized Administrative Functions
- Provide coordination and administration for Senior Leadership Council (SLC)
- Manage process for tracking staffing decisions
- Support annual planning and reporting processes
- Personal Leadership
- Maintain a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Recommends continuous improvement initiatives
- Communicates and coordinates with the Manager, President's Office
- Minimum of two-year diploma or Associate Degree in a relevant discipline
- Five years of recent related experience providing support at a senior executive level
- Knowledge and experience with professional administrative practices
- Exceptional writing and communication skills
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency with common software programs
