Addiction Nurse Specialist

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Addiction Nurse to join our Intensive Care Management team in Powell River, BC. As an Addiction Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care and supportive counseling to clients who are in the process of detoxification, stabilization, and/or transitioning into other long-term care addiction services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care and supportive counseling to clients with mental health and substance use concerns.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to achieve excellence in client-centered care and education.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support clients in their recovery journey.
- Provide education and support to clients and their families on substance use and mental health.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of addiction services.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Two (2) years' recent, related clinical experience providing treatment services to individuals with mental health and/or substance use concerns.
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
